In a new interview, Sting's guitarist Dominic Miller heaped huge praise on The Beatles and the group's music, comparing it to the work of classical composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
Last year, Miller released The Beatles Arranged by Dominic Miller: Guitar Solo Songbook, a book of solo guitar arrangements written by Miller for 14 of The Beatles' well-known songs.
A few of the included songs are beloved favorites like "Here Comes The Sun," "Eleanor Rigby," "Yesterday," and "Norwegian Wood."
In a new interview with Rick Beato, Miller talked about his thoughts on The Beatles music and why he decided to create the songbook, saying, "I chose, for some reason, to attack my favorite Beatles songs and make them for solo guitar in the way that a classical guitarist would do.”
He went on, comparing The Beatles' music to the musical genius of Bach as he declared, "Like Bach, I think [The] Beatles [are] one of the only composers that you can play badly, and it still sounds good.”

To further illustrate his point, he told a story of one of his neighbors who is a piano teacher trying to teach their student to play Bach.
Explaining how Bach's compositions are stunning even if they aren't played well, he said, "I look forward to that moment when they have their lesson, and I hear Bach played badly with no real tempo, but that's the most beautiful thing that you can hear."
Miller then declared, “And I think it's the same for The Beatles. If someone were to play 'Michelle' or 'Yesterday' badly, the magic would still come through."
Going further, he argued that The Beatles' harmonies are "indestructible," while also calling the band "genius" and "timeless."
Along with the previously listed songs, Miller's songbook also includes "And I Love Her," "In My Life," "The Fool On A Hill," "She's Leaving Home," "Michelle," "The Long And Winding Road," "A Day In The Life," "Blackbird," "I Am The Walrus," and "Something."
