Rosie O’Donnell says Donald Trump may have accidentally done wonders for her career.
Appearing on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast, the comedian and former The View co-host joked that renewed public attention around her has one obvious source: the president who keeps attacking her.

“I feel like recently I’m re-famous. That’s what I feel like,” O’Donnell said. “I told my kids, ‘Well, kids, hold on, because mommy’s re-famous.'”
Then she named the culprit.
“I don’t know how it happened. I think it’s Mango Mussolini,” O’Donnell said. “I think it’s him who did it.”
The Feud That Won’t Quit

O’Donnell and Trump have been publicly trading insults since 2006, long before his presidency. Their feud flared again after O’Donnell moved to Ireland following Trump’s 2024 election victory, citing the political climate in the United States.
Trump later wrote that he was giving “serious consideration” to taking away her citizenship, claiming she was “not in the best interests of our Great Country.”
O’Donnell suggested on “Good Hang” that Trump might rethink the attacks if he understood the publicity effect.
“He didn’t know. If he knew how much he was helping my career and my life, he would shut up about me because he’s a horrible creature,” she said.
Trump, meanwhile, thinks O’Donnell is the one who is “obsessed.”

“I’m stunned by it,” O’Donnell said. “Like I go, is everyone looking at the same speech he just gave? Did we hear what he just said? He is asleep again, ladies and gentlemen! Like what is it going to take?”
Poehler said the “gaslighting that’s afterwards is so stressful.”
O’Donnell pointed to Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying he had never seen Trump fall asleep.
“Oh dear God in heaven, it’s beyond willful blindness,” O’Donnell said. “It’s really like cult programming.”
