Rob Gronkowski tried to play matchmaker for former teammate Julian Edelman at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

“Camille [Kostek] and I were trying to play matchmaker, but no luck,” he said, adding, “But Julian doesn’t need any luck. He’s a beautiful looking kid.”

Swift and Kelce tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

Rob Gronkowski was trying to write another love story at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

The former New England Patriots tight end said he was playing matchmaker for a former teammate during the star-studded celebration at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

“Julian Edelman was the third wheel, so we were kind of looking for some girls for him,” Gronk said of him and girlfriend Camille Kostek during an appearance on Thursday’s Today. “He was going, ‘Who’s that? Is she single?’ I’m like, ‘Go for it, Julian.’”

“Camille and I were trying to play matchmaker, but no luck,” he lamented, adding, “But Julian doesn’t need any luck. He’s a beautiful looking kid.”

Besides Gronkowski and Edelman, Swift and Kelce’s wedding reunited them with legendary Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

“The dance floor energy was top-notch, and the wedding was top-notch as well,” he added about getting his groove on at the reception.

“You couldn’t have painted a better picture of how the whole wedding went down. There’s no doubt about that. Everyone was on the [dance] floor, there was DJs, there was magicians going.”

As for Gronk’s go-to song on the dance floor, he shouted out “Low” by Flo-Rida.

The former NFL star previously explained how the raffles and games worked during Swift and Kelce’s reception. “You had to play the games in order to get the raffle tickets,” he told PEOPLE in July, noting that he was trying to “win something for my girl.”

With the raffle tickets, guests had the chance to win exciting prizes such as designer watches, handbags, and a vintage car.

“You had to earn the raffle tickets and that’s why I appreciate it,” he added. “It wasn’t no hand-me-outs, you had to earn the raffle tickets, and that’s what made it so much fun.”

Gronkowski was also impressed by the crowd that came together for the Grammy winner and Kansas City Chiefs star’s nuptials, which included CEOs, sports broadcasters, athletes, actors, and musicians.

“It was so cool to see it live, to be able to have a good time on the dance floor and to mingle with so many people in my industry, but also so many people in other industries,” the four-time Super Bowl champ said said.

He confessed that he was a “a little starstruck” by some of the guests but wouldn’t say exactly who left him stunned. “I mean, when you meet someone that’s been your hero, that you’ve been watching, but you’ve just gotta play it cool, though.”
