Remi Bader humorously critiqued SKIMS’ “Fits Everybody” collection after struggling to wear its Picot Micro Teddy thong

The influencer is known for her comedic try-on hauls and challenging beauty standards on Instagram and TikTok

Bader recently reflected on her personal growth and body image journey in an emotional Instagram post

Remi Bader is making a point.

The content creator, 31, challenged SKIMS’ “Fits Everybody” collection with a hilarious try-on video of herself attempting to wear the Kim Kardashian-backed brand’s “Picot Micro Teddy” thong.

“For $58, you can have your very own leopard floss up your a--hole,” Bader says to introduce her comedic Instagram video uploaded on Thursday, Aug. 13. “I got tagged in this seven million times,” she said of creator Samantha Ramsdell, who posted a version of the try-on haul first.

Naturally, Bader — who built a massive following across her Instagram and TikTok accounts for her videos of realistic try-on hauls and challenging beauty standards with a comedic spin — “needed to try” the barely there garment herself, she says in the clip.

“As much as I do love Miss Kimmy Kim herself, I want to know what they were thinking in terms of this device and who one gets it on,” she says while dangling the stringy one-piece designed in the brand’s “stretchy, buttery fabric” to the camera.

Since the animal-print piece provided little to no coverage, simply featuring micro coverage cups complete with adjustable straps, picot elastic details and a 100% cotton gusset, Bader wore nude-colored undergarments to film her try-on attempt for the camera.

Her wheels are visibly spinning as she tries to figure out how to place the elastics around her body, which, according to the product’s description on the website, fits true to size.

“That can’t be right,” she says, nervously laughing while she tries again. “My biggest thing here is that it’s under the ‘Fits Everybody’ category. SKIMS, whomst is everybody?” she asks, adding, “Because this doesn’t even fit the small part of my nipple.”

Bader continued to try alternate ways of fitting into the complicated number, which, per the SKIMS website, was designed for “late nights and lingering looks.”

“I don’t even understand. Wouldn’t you think that the back is the front?” the content creator quips.

“I actually love this... You know what? I’m actually going to a friend’s house tonight, and there’s a chef cooking. I think I’m going to wear this. You want to know why? Because it fits everyone,” she sarcastically concludes.

Bader built a platform on being her transparent self when it comes to her mental and physical health, heavily involving topics surrounding body image. On June 22, she shared a series of before-and-after photos of her weight loss as she reflected on the last two-and-a-half years.

“Never have I ever posted a transition photo of myself, [but] I recently came back to the exact spot where I took these photos 2.5 years ago @equinox,” she began the caption of the Instagram slide.

“For years, I avoided looking at old photos because they brought me back to a time when I felt really low mentally and physically,” she continued. Bader opened up about the work she had done on herself “internally” and how it had led her to the decision to revisit the moment she had taken the series of before photos.

“I wanted to revisit that moment. Not to compare. Not to criticize. But to acknowledge how far I’ve come, what has changed, and also what has not changed at all, that I still want to work on,” she wrote.

“I’ve realized I spend way more time focusing on what’s gone wrong than what has gone right, especially since Jan 2024. Standing in the same place reminded me that there have been a lot of wins too.”

She ended the post by sharing a message about growth, saying that it “isn’t always obvious when you’re living it, but sometimes looking back helps you finally see it 🤍.”
