Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently returned from the U.K. having reconciled with King Charles III, there’s still a long way to go for them. The couple is yet to repair their relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are next in line to the throne after King Charles III.

So, as the Sussexes plan to return to the royal fold after establishing a life in California, they are reportedly finding ways to fix their relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Palace Insiders Reveal Sussexes’ Alleged Plans for Public Apology

During their recent UK visit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle managed to speak with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House. They also succeeded in reuniting their kids with their grandparents, and even visited Princess Diana’s gravesite with their family.

However, as the couple is yet to fix its relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton, Rob Shuter revealed that the Sussexes are hatching a plan. According to a palace insider who spoke to him for his Naughty But Nice Substack, the Duke and Duchess are allegedly planning a public apology.

To get back in the good graces of the royals, the California-based couple is willing to go as far as to drop a public apology. However, the source clarified that “This isn’t about Harry and Meghan admitting they were wrong about everything.”

They explained, “It’s about acknowledging that the past five years have caused enormous pain. The debate now is over what an apology should say — and, just as importantly, what it shouldn’t.”

Another source told Shuter, “Everyone agrees trust has to be rebuilt. The challenge is finding language that gives the King the respect he wants without forcing Harry and Meghan to walk back every interview, documentary, or page of ‘Spare.’”

Prince and Princess of Wales Are Allegedly Hesitant to Reconcile With Sussexes

While sources claim Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly planning a public apology to reconcile with Prince William and Kate Middleton, an insider shared the Prince and Princess of Wales’ perspective.

After King Charles III agreed to meet his youngest son and his family, a source told Closer that the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly remain unconvinced that the family can simply move on from what the Sussexes did.

“William and Kate both believe there are some things that can’t be undone. However much Charles wants everyone to move on, William and Kate don’t think it’s possible to build bridges without first building trust – and, right now, that doesn’t exist,” the source shared.

They added, “Charles believes the monarchy has to think long-term, and Harry, Meghan and the children could still have a role in strengthening the institution if relationships could somehow be repaired.”

“But William and Kate don’t see it that way and they feel it won’t be solved by putting duty first. Kate is normally incredibly forgiving – she much prefers to forgive and forget, rather than hold grudges – but this is completely different,” the source mentioned.
