Influencer Hasan Piker Questions How Klay Thompson Fumbled Megan Thee Stallion: ‘That Was the Ring’

Influencer Hasan Piker was in disbelief that Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson broke up after nearly one year of dating.

“Oh my god, that is a generational fumble. Are you f***ing serious?” Piker, 34, said in a Saturday, April 25, Instagram video, reacting to Megan’s social media statement that announced the news. “Klay Thompson, this was the best thing that has happened to you in your damn life, dude. How is that possible? That’s Megan Thee Stallion.”

He continued, “This is more important. This is the one ring you should be paying attention to, not the motherf***ing NBA ring. That was the ring. How the f*** do you fumble Megan Thee Stallion, bro? That is crazy.”

Us Weekly confirmed earlier on Saturday that Megan, 31, and Klay, 36, recently called it quits.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” the rap star told Us in a statement. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. “I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Megan also appeared to publicly accuse Klay of infidelity in a bombshell social media post.

“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house … got ‘cold feet,’” she wrote via her Instagram Stories without mentioning Klay by name. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season. Now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous???’ Bitch, I need a real break after this one. Bye y’all.”

Klay has not publicly addressed the accusations. Us Weekly reached out for comment.

As for Piker, he was perplexed how Klay seemingly could “fumble” his relationship with Megan.

“Megan Thee Stallion is into anime, has like all of the unique interests, she’s dope, she’s super successful. It just doesn’t make any sense,” Piker said, reacting to the then-couple’s social media memories. “Bro had her cooking for his family, yeah. He named his boat after her? That is the fumble of the century, that’s how you know he doesn’t have ultra instinct. He can’t lock in. Must have gotten carried the entire way. Take his rings away, those are Mickey Mouse rings. He was carried.”

Piker continued, “If he was a real clutch shooter, he wouldn’t have f***ing missed on this. This is the type of greed they wrote about in the Bible. What are you doing?”

Piker also captioned his post, “Klay was focusing on the WRONG ring.”

Megan and Klay started dating in July 2025, making their red carpet debut that same month at her Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala. (Megan started the organization in 2022 to support women, children, seniors and underserved communities in Houston, Texas.)

“Megan is such a special person and she inspires so many around the world. I’ve seen it firsthand,” Klay exclusively told Us on the red carpet. “This is just another incredible feat of hers to be able to give back, create [a] foundation and raise a ton of money for those in need. I’m honored to be here by her side.”
