Tyga has been making headlines lately since the release of his album $TARFACE. The rapper dropped his ninth studio album on July 31. The 1980s-inspired concept album $TARFACE has been criticized for AI accusations.

Most recently, Doja Cat slammed the rapper for making an AI-assisted album. The Kiss Me More rapper referred him as ‘p*n*s’ in a viral video. Doja Cat said:

“Nobody asked me anything about Tyga, but I just felt like saying this. Tyga is a p*n*s for making an AI album.”

As reported by TMZ, the rapper reacted to Doja Cat’s criticism. With a big smile he said:

"Listen, I love Doja, but she made a demonic album. But I still love her."

He said he sees AI as just another technology that is changing and isn’t concerned about it taking his job. He believes his 15 years of experience show he is better than anything a machine can make, TMZ reported.

Pitchfork gave 0.0 rating to Tyga’s $TARFACE

The American online music magazine, Pitchfork, gave a zero-star rating to $TARFACE as the album was made with the help of AI.

The rapper reportedly responded to Pitchfork’s rating for his new album. He said that ‘devil’ uses Pitchfork.

"I don’t really know what Pitchfork is. All I know is the devil uses a pitchfork,” the rapper commented.

The rapper’s album comprises ten songs. Here’s the tracklist of $TARFACE:

Initially, the rapper said that his new album was completely human-made in an interview with People. He explained how he used old hardware for the music of the record. He said:

“Even down to the mixing, we used a lot of the old hardware,” Tyga says. “Delays, harmonizers. Everything that we used was stuff that they used in the ‘80s. Now everybody uses the plug-ins and everything in Pro Tools. But we used a lot of the original hardware, and it just really gave it that warm sound,” the rapper said.

The rapper also said that $TARFACE is entirely a ‘separate artist’ with a ‘separate aesthetic.’ Later, he confirmed the use of AI in $TARFACE during another interview.
