Disney D23 2026 is well underway this week, and fans are expecting Marvel updates at the event. Deadline posted a reel on its social media handles that provided a sneak peek into upcoming MCU projects, including VisionQuest. The solo Vision series is dropping on Disney+ this October, and it is expected to go on until November or December.
The event begins on Friday, and it will go on until Sunday, but it seems that the event venue is filled with props and costumes from different MCU projects. As VisionQuest is exactly two months away from its release date, fans expect the trailer from Disney D23 2026 to drop online.
Disney D23 2026 - Marvel reveals the first look of the new White Vision suit:
Even though Disney D23 2026 is scheduled to not start until this Friday morning, it seems that the event venue is filled with displays from the upcoming Disney projects, including the MCU ones. One of the upcoming MCU projects that not many are aware of is VisionQuest, headlined by Paul Bettany's Vision. It will pick up right where the White Vision flew away in the WandaVision finale.
Thus, it seems that VisionQuest will start with the android hero in the form we last saw him, in the white Vibranium body. Moreover, the sci-fi series also marks the return of James Spader's Ultron eleven years after his MCU debut in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Apart from Ultron, Jocasta (T'Nia Miller), Vision, and Wanda's elder twin Tommy Maximoff (Ruaridh Mollica) are also involved in the show.

What do we know about VisionQuest?
Details about VisionQuest remain sparse, but we can expect to learn more about the upcoming MCU Disney+ series at Disney D23 2026 this weekend. We know that one of the most respected TV writers in the sci-fi genre, Terry Matalas, is serving as the showrunner.
It has been marketed as the concluding chapter of the "Trilogy", which kicked off with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. VisionQuest will follow the real Vision, who has been revived by S.W.O.R.D. in a new body in WandaVision. As that happens, he will encounter Ultron and his son Tommy.
Showrunner Terry Matalas hinted last October that Ultron and Vision are central to VisionQuest. He said:
"You do get to see robot Ultron, but you see a lot of James Spader and a lot of Paul Bettany together. They are very much a core dynamic of the show."
As for the plot of the upcoming series, Paul Bettany teased that the sci-fi series will be about intergenerational trauma:
"It is about lots of things, and it's super exciting, but in the same way that WandaVision was about grief, it's sort of about intergenerational trauma. It's about fathers and sons and denial of pain and denial of your own truth and coming to terms with who and what you are and what you could be."
We can expect the first footage from VisionQuest to drop online this weekend. Are you excited to watch it?
