Chris Watts' eerie confession to murdering his wife resurfaced as the convicted killer prepares to make it down the aisle once more.

"I didn’t want to do this, but I did it," Watts, 41, told CBI investigators in February 2019, per The Tab. "I don’t even want to say it felt like I had to; it just felt like there was already something in my mind that was implanted that I was gonna do it, and when I woke up that morning, it was gonna happen, and I had no control over it."

'Someone Else Had Control'

Chris Watts said he 'wasn't able to fight back' against committing the violent acts.MEGA

During the interview, Watts explained that he and his wife, Shanann, got into an argument after she returned from a trip. He claimed that he told her that he wasn't in love with her and confessed to having an affair.

After she threatened to leave him and take the kids, he allegedly jumped on top of her and strangled her.

Watts claimed that he "felt like someone else had control over him” when he killed his wife and their two daughters, Bella and Celeste, on August 13, 2018, adding he "wasn't able to fight back."

As OK! previously reported, Watts is currently serving five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to the murders of his wife and their two daughters in November 2009.

The father of two initially pleaded for the safe return of his family before eventually confessing to their murders.
