Avengers fans seem to think Chris Evans had some of the Super-Soldier Serum treatment in real life, too.
The Hollywood actor, 45, is set to make his comeback in the upcoming film after he stepped away from the Captain America role in Avengers: Endgame in 2019, passing his iconic shield to Sam Wilson, aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie).
The last time Marvel audiences saw Steve Rogers, he was living happily ever after with the love of his life, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), having traveled back in time to return the infinity stones to their proper timeline following the Avengers' ultimate victory over Thanos (Josh Brolin) and the restoration of half the universe he had eliminated. It comes after the first look at the Avengers movie was dropped.

Rather than returning to the present day as Captain America, he emerged as an elderly man to pass on his mantle to Sam. Yet fans have now learned he'll be back for Doomsday, and similar to Robert Downey Jr.'s surprising return to the franchise despite Tony Stark, aka Iron Man's, devastating death in Endgame, things may not be quite what they appear.

In the trailer, Steve Rogers sports a dark beard and longer hair, with facial features that appear noticeably different from the clean-cut, chiseled, blonde appearance fans became familiar with during his time as Captain America. He appears in the final moments as Thor (Chris Hemsworth) looks on, apparently in disbelief.
Fans have been quick to notice a distinct shift in Chris' appearance, with many commenting on a "puffier face" and a "different nose," fueling widespread speculation that he may have gone under the knife.
One fan wrote on X, "No like actually what did he do to his face?" Another speculated, "Like that's a different person. That's your uncle who 'kinda looks like Chris Evans if you squint'."
A third person quipped, "Is this Chris Evans' glow down era?" with countless others suggesting Botox and fillers could be to blame. However, some fans have offered an alternative explanation, pointing to an actual plot-driven reason tied to the Doomsday storyline.

To get to the bottom of the mystery, the Mirror US reached out to Dr. Gizem Seymenoglu, a medical aesthetician in London whose appointments are arranged through Longevita, who offers this commentary based solely on publicly available images.
No direct examination has been conducted, and any suggested treatments are purely speculative and intended for general educational discussion.
According to Dr. Gizem, there are no obvious signs that Chris has undergone anti-wrinkle injections in the upper face. However, she believes his face appears noticeably fuller than in earlier photographs, which could potentially be explained by subtle cosmetic treatments, although natural factors such as weight gain cannot be ruled out.
What stands out to me more is the increased fullness through the cheeks and even the lips. He might have had a collagen-stimulating treatment, such as Sculptra, or another injectable treatment which gradually restores facial volume."

Dr. Gizem then offered another explanation, suggesting that he might also have had subtle dermal fillers placed across different areas of the face.
"Equally, this could simply be the result of weight gain, perhaps for a film role, because that can noticeably change the appearance of the face,” she adds further.
"he also notes that Chris' hairline appears more even than in older photographs, particularly around the temples, where there previously appeared to be some recession.
Dr. Gizem estimates that, based on prices at high-end US cosmetic practices, these possible cosmetic tweaks could typically cost between $15,000 and $30,000+. The final figure would depend on the individual's treatment plan, the practitioner, and whether a hair transplant was also involved.

"If someone had a combination of treatments such as collagen-stimulating injectables to restore facial volume, subtle dermal fillers, and a possible hair transplant, the overall cost at a premium US practice could realistically fall somewhere between $15,000 and $30,000 or more.
"The final figure would depend on the individual's treatment plan, the amount of product used and the extent of any hair restoration procedure," she concluded.
