Newly released video depicts the moment a police officer shot a robbery suspect after being knocked into the suspect's SUV and taken for an unwilling ride in a Bay Area suburb.
The incident unfolded shortly after 5 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, in the 4500 Lone Tree Way in Antioch, authorities said.
The video shows an Antioch Police Department officer responding to a report of an armed robbery when the suspect's car rams into a patrol car.
The officer is seen attempting to confront the driver when he gets knocked into the suspect's SUV through an open passenger-side door as the vehicle accelerates a brief distance in reverse. The vehicle then sped off with the officer inside, striking both a police car and a store as it fled.

For two-and-a-half tense minutes, the officer remained an unwilling passenger in the fleeing suspect's SUV, repeatedly commanding him to stop the car.
"Get out of the car," the driver is heard saying. "I'mma crash... I'm going to crash this [expletive] car."
"Don't. It's not worth it," replies the officer.
At one point, the officer is heard trying to calm the man. "Talk to me, talk to me," the officer said, as the engine is heard continuing to rev.
As the driver continues on, the officer is seen on body camera warning the suspect, "I will shoot you."
