*The Big Bang Theory** *is about to enter its own multiverse of madness.

Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie, stars of the upcoming *BBT *spinoff *Stuart Fails to Save The Universe*, gathered on stage at the fan expo CCXP Mexico City on Sunday to announce exciting new details about the series.

Chief among them: *Stuart Fails to Save the Universe*, which follows Sussman's titular comic store owner's descent into a "multiverse Armageddon," will premiere this July.

The next most exciting revelation from the *SFTSTU *panel: Grammy-winning scoring legend Danny Elfman will compose original theme music for the series.

The official logline for *Stuart Fails to Save the Universe *reads: "Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke. Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we've come to know and love from *The Big Bang Theory.* As the title implies, things don't go well."

As previously mentioned, Sussman reprises the role of Stuart that he played across 11 seasons of *The Big Bang Theory* in an alternating recurring and main cast capacity. Lapkus returns as Denise, who appeared only on the final two seasons of *BBT. *Bowie's Barry, one of *BBT*'s most lovable, hateable recurring characters, appeared across the same duration as Stuart, while Posehn played Bert on seasons 6-7 and 10-12.

While *Big Bang Theory *stars Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) are named in the logline, no other *BBT *stars besides *Stuart*'s core four have been confirmed for the spinoff. The series has also cast *Kevin Can Wait *actor Ryan Cartwright and *Silicon Valley*'s Josh Brener in supporting roles.

Fans itching for more *Big Bang Theory *since the 2019 finale — even after *two *spinoffs have launched — can rejoice that *Stuart Fails to Save the Universe *brings back the originally trilogy of creators, writers, and executive producers Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady.

The first *Big Bang Theory *spinoff to hit the air was *Young Sheldon*, centered on a younger version of Parsons' geeky Sheldon Cooper. The series featured Parsons as its narrator, starred Iain Armitage in the title role, and ran from 2017 to 2024.

*Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage*, a *Young Sheldon* spinoff that focused on Sheldon's older brother, Georgie (Montana Jordan), and his wife, Mandy (Emily Osment), premiered in 2024.

The series was renewed for a third season in January.
