Former couple Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith are still sharing sweet family moments.
Banderas, 65, shared a photo of himself spending time with his ex-wife Griffith, 68, their daughter Stella, 29, and Stella's husband Alex Gruszynski to Instagram on Monday, April 27.
"A lovely and fun moment yesterday in Los Angeles with my son-in-law Alex, my daughter Stella, and my ex-wife and lifelong friend, Melanie," he wrote in a caption to the post, which showed the family members laughing together as they posed on a couch and wrapped their arms around each other.
Griffith and Banderas were married between 1996 and 2015: they share daughter Stella, and Banderas was also a stepfather to Griffith's son Alexander Bauer and daughter Dakota Johnson, whom she shares with exes Steven Bauer and Don Johnson, respectively. In particular, Banderas and Dakota, 36, remain close, even more than a decade after Banderas and Griffith's marriage ended.
The joyful photo follows a recent family event when Stella and her husband Gruszynski married in Banderas' native Spain in October 2025.
"The wedding of my daughter Stella has turned into a heartfelt family reunion, emotional, joyful, and full of laughter," Banderas wrote in a post he shared at that time, which included several photos of himself with Stella over the years. "Thank you to everyone who made this possible."
Stella also shared a number of photos from her wedding on Instagram in October, including photos she and her husband took with her parents at the ceremony. Banderas could be seen toasting his daughter and son-in-law with a glass of wine in the images they shared.

Griffith and Banderas have maintained a strong friendship following their divorce. Griffith told PEOPLE in 2020 that she considers each of her three ex-husbands — including Johnson and Bauer — her friends.
"I love them with all my heart. Looking at the things you accumulate in your life has been really fun," she said at the time.

And in 2019, Banderas shared similar sentiments in an interview with PEOPLE.
“Melanie is not my wife anymore, but I think she is my best friend,” he said at that time. “I love her and will love her until the day I die. She's my family.”

Banderas most recently appeared in the 2024 movies Babygirl and Paddington in Peru. He resides in his hometown in Málaga, Spain, where he owns a local theater. Griffith most recently made a cameo in Dakota's 2020 film, The High Note. She also narrated a 2025 film titled By Design.
